Beaded Lanterns, is the sixteenth book in the Beadflowers Beading Patterns series. It offers you all of the beaded lanterns that I created during my career. These projects were originally shared as an online class and as tutorials through the Beadflowers website.All of the projects in this volume use size 11 Delica beads. You are going to be working in Peyote stitch, using even count, tubular and increasing and decreasing. I loved creating dimensional work and once I came up with the idea of making lanterns, I was inspired to create themes for many different occasions.If you are new to Peyote stitch, then I strongly recommend that you supplement this book with the second volume in the series, which teaches you basic beading techniques. All of these projects are suitable for more experienced beaders and they assume that you already have basic technique skills. None of the techniques are difficult. So, if you wish to learn or remind yourself of the basics, definitely ensure you have access to volume two to use alongside this.All of the projects include Peyote pattern and word charts, so you can follow whichever way you prefer. The instructions are illustrated with photos and diagrams. I am sharing more than thirty designs for different occasions, including Christmas, Easter, Hanukkah, Valentines, Halloween, celebrating birthdays, and with themes like cats, butterflies, flowers, cupcakes, and more! I have also included blank graph paper and instructions to allow you to create your own designs. The lanterns come in three basic styles, and all fit standard battery-operated tea lights, so they really work! These make beautiful gifts and decorations and were some of my most popular patterns, so I hope you enjoy this book.Katie Dean followed a career in the beading industry for over 12 years.
