This product is our own blend of micro algae growing formula. Proven effective for over 20+ years constant use in culturing phytoplankton at ANF Aquatic Nursery. We have found that our particular combination of elements produce an excellent grow-out in our saltwater phytoplankton, specifically for unicellular algae species such as Nannochloropsis, Tetraselmis, Isochrysis and others. This solution is concentrated for commercial use, so a small amount goes a long way. You can have limited success with other fertilizers that are not specifically engineered for saltwater micro algae, we have found that our combination of major and minor nutrients works best specifically for unicellular marine micro algae. This solution includes major nutrients such as phosphate, nitrate, iron & minor nutrients such as vitamins and trace metals which are all necessary for a healthy phytoplankton culture.
